DIVE IN: KATIE LEDECKY

With our swimmer athlete feature coming to an end this month, we've saved one of the best for last - Katie Ledecky.   At only 18, Katie is proving to be one of the greatest freestyle swimmers of all time - not losing a single race in any major meets yet.

Following her brother's steps, Katie started swimming at the age of 6. Age is not a defining factor for Katie, as she was the youngest swimmer at the 2012 Olympic Trials, and then surprised the world when she won an Olympic Gold at the games in London. In 2013, at the age of 16, she was named the FINA Female Swimmer of the Year. Katie is  quickly proving herself to be a notable swimmer internationally, setting records year after year. In the 2014 Pan Pacific Championships, Katie became the first female to win four individual records - currently holding the American and World Record for 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle events.

Breaking her own records each year, the world will watch Katie as she sets out to make more records and achievements at her next Olympic Trials.

" You have to want it more than anyone else. "
